Meg Wood

Meg came in to assist as the Trustee / Interim owner for Frolic after Carol passed in 2024. In the past, Meg had been a dedicated member of Frolic as the Operations Manager until 2019 when she passed the torch to Mariza. She has been deeply engrained in the begining stages of Frolic and focused on the business side of things along with specalizing in animal behavior and body language modification.

The frist thing you'll notice about Meg is that she is a sunny extrovert that loves helping people and making a difference. She is a personal finance and economics nerd. Meg really enjoys her career in financial advising and planning, and is actively working towards her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. She lives in the greater Seattle area with a partner and two pups - Rainier and Everest. The pups are heeler-border collies so they are that wild mix of wicked smart, playful, but total bed-hogs. She enjoys all things outdoors – trail running, gardening, backpacking, skiing and swimming. Often you’ll find her at the park on a bike ride, skiing up at Mt. Baker, dancing at concerts, or soaking up her cuddle-pups with a book in hand.

Meg was always business savvy and worked well to implement safety and accountability within the company. She excels at team management, handling technical and situational chaos, and thrives in problem solving situations. Meg is one of those people who loves to teach and guide - so she assists with interviewing and training new team members. Recently she has been focused on revitalizing Frolic's internal side so it's ready to be adopted by a new family!
